After 18 years, The Rolling Stones are back with a new album.

It's been teased throughout the past week around various parts of Hackney in London, as the title of their new album was revealed as Hackney Diamonds.

Now after releasing a snippet of the highly-anticipated new track 'Angry', the legendary band revealed all at a globally live-streamed conference.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood were all in attendance at the Hackney Empire, which was fitting of the album's new title.

With 300 lucky punters in attendance in the historic venue, which was decked out in lush velvet curtains and The Rolling Stones' classic insignia which was smashed into pieces to fit the theme of the album.

The 12-track album marks the band's first studio album of newly-written material since 2005's A Bigger Bang, and it'll be their first without the late iconic drummer Charlie Watts.

After the half-hour conference, which was hosted by US television host Jimmy Fallon, it was the world premiere of the band's new single 'Angry' and accompanying music video.

Despite Charlie Watts not featuring on the album in its entirety, it has been confirmed that he will appear on two tracks which were recorded in 2019.

'Mess It Up' and 'Live By The Sword' will both feature Charlie, and the latter will also feature former bassist Bill Wyman.

When asked about how the band's dynamic has changed since the death of founding member Charlie, Richard replied:

"Ever since Charlie's gone it's been different. He's number four. Of course he's missed. Incredibly."

Though they did go on to reveal that his replacement, Steve Jordan, was in fact chosen by Charlie "way back".

Throughout the conference, it took a far more informal affair given the three icons energy - Mick sprung up to introduce the album at the beginning, whilst later on they took part in an impromptu sing-a-long of 1965 hit 'Off The Hook'.

Over the past week the band have teased details of the forthcoming album, and Mick posted a picture of him and host Fallon in The Old Ship pub next door reading the Hackney Gazette.

With the rumour mill going into overdrive about potential guests appearances, Ronnie did confirm that Lady Gaga would be featuring on the track 'Sweet Sound Of Heaven'.

Mick was asked why there was such a gap between 2016's Blue & Lonesome, an album of covers of blues staples.

"We've been on the road most of the time, maybe we were a bit too lazy, but then we said, 'let's put a deadline', the swaggering legend admitted.

He went on to say: "I don't want to be big-headed but we wouldn't have put this album out if we hadn't really liked it."

"We said we had to make a record we really love ourselves. We are quite pleased with it, we are not big-headed about it, but we hope you all like it."

Rising Hollywood starlet and The White Lotus actor Sydney Sweeney - who was in attendance - was revealed as the featured star of the music video to 'Angry'.

Once the conference came to an end, the band premiered the video which you can see below:
