Like every local commercial radio station in the UK Gold has requirements in respect of its music, news and local content. These requirements are set out in the station format issued by Ofcom, the UK’s radio regulator.

News Bulletin Schedule
Gold broadcasts news bulletins on the hour every hour weekdays and weekends.
Additional half hourly bulletins are broadcast on weekdays at 06.30, 07.30, 08.30, 17.30, 18.30

All of Gold's output is produced and presented from the studios in Leicester Square, London with the follow exceptions.

Music On Gold
Gold play the Greatest Hits of All Time from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Gold also invites listeners to choose their favourite song on Dean Martin's Gold Requests (weekdays 8pm-midnight). Events / Charities support

Gold has its own charity appeal - Gold supports..., which is this year raising money for The Prostate Cancer Charity. Various on and off air events are planned, and you can find out more here.

Ofcom
Ofcom, the government regulator with responsibilities for local radio, has produced localness guidelines that this station adheres to. These guidelines can be read here
