Like every local commercial radio station in the UK Gold has requirements in respect of its music, news and local content. These requirements are set out in the station format issued by Ofcom, the UK’s radio regulator.
News Bulletin Schedule
Gold broadcasts news bulletins on the hour every hour weekdays and weekends.
Additional half hourly bulletins are broadcast on weekdays at 06.30, 07.30, 08.30, 17.30, 18.30
Birmingham (ex-Capital Gold), Wolverhampton (ex-Classic Gold 990/1017) and Coventry (ex-Classic Gold 1359) all opt-out Monday to Friday 18:00-22:00. Some regional news is broadcast at breakfast and drive time weekdays; and late breakfast weekends. Occasional local sports coverage also features during the week and/or at weekends. All of Gold's output is produced and presented from the studios in Leicester Square, London with the follow exceptions.

Music On Gold
Gold play the Greatest Hits of All Time from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Gold also invites listeners to choose their favourite song on Dean Martin's Gold Requests (weekdays 8pm-midnight). Events, Community and Charity
Gold supports HALC (Help A London Child) by encouraging listeners to participate in a number of their fund-raising activities from golfing days and 10k runs through to trekking expeditions. Help a London Child provides financial support to grass-root projects for London’s less advantaged children. Find out more about some of the projects that have received grants.

London Bridges Walk
In June 2010 Gold worked in conjunction with Kidney Research UK for the London Bridges Walk. Hundreds of Gold listeners took part in a walk through the capital to raise money for Kidney Research.
The Marriott Burns Night Ball
