After 60 years of massive success, Cher is finally going to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The singer has been eligible for three-and-a-half decades, and the Rock Hall has now decided to admit the 'Believe' singer to its ranks as part of the Class of 2024.

She joins Foreigner, Kool & The Gang, Peter Frampton and Ozzy Osbourne in this year's line-up. Rounding out the inductees are Mary J Blige, the Dave Matthews Band and A Tribe Called Quest.
If it feels like Cher's Hall of Fame induction has been a long time coming, she certainly agrees.
As long ago as 2010 – 14 years back now – Cher had complained that she and Sonny Bono hadn't been honoured by the Rock Hall.
"Sonny and I still aren’t in the Hall of Fame, and it just seems kind of rude," Cher told Vanity Fair about her and Sonny Bono's exclusion as long ago as 2010 – 14 years back now
"Sonny was a good writer, and we started something that no one else was doing. We were weird hippies before there was a name for it, when The Beatles were wearing sweet little haircuts and round-collared suits.
"We influenced a generation, and it’s like: What more do you want?"
Sonny and Cher launched their career with 'Baby Don't Go' in 1964, before breaking through with the 'I Got You Babe' the following year. Cher launched a near-simultaneous solo career and enjoyed success in every decade since.
The Rock Hall's 2024 Musical Influence Awards, previously called the Early Influence Award, go to Alexis Korner, John Mayall and Big Mama Thornton.
The non-performer award goes to producer Suzanne de Passe, while the Music Excellence Awards for 2024 go to Jimmy Buffett, the MC5, Dionne Warwick and Norman Whitfield.
