A man has been arrested after two people were found stabbed to death in a house in southwest London.
Police were called to a home in Redfern Avenue, Whitton, at 9.41am on Friday, and found the bodies of a man in his 60s and a woman in her 70s inside.
A 31-year-old man was arrested in Slough on suspicion of murder at about 3pm on Friday afternoon.
Formal identification has not taken place but officers believe they know who the two victims are and their family is being supported by liaison officers.
Post-mortem examinations are yet to be held.
A crime scene remains in place around the property while detectives from specialist crime command investigate.
Chief Superintendent Sally Benatar, who leads the Met's South West Command Unit, said: "My thoughts are with the family and friends of the two victims.
"I want to reassure members of the community that this was an isolated incident. Having arrested a man this afternoon, we are not looking for anybody else in connection with the two deaths."
