Prince Charles was dressed to thrill as he visited the set of Bond 25 sporting a tie decorated with speed boats and palm trees.

Executive producer Barbara Broccoli claimed the Prince of Wales's fashion statement was a nod to the Jamaican setting of the upcoming as-yet-unnamed movie.

Broccoli said she thought Charles had worn the tie to mark the occasion.

"I don't think anything is a mistake when it comes to His Royal Highness," she said.

The heir to the throne interrupted filming during his visit to Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire - breaking up a row between M and 007

Charles laughed as Fiennes, who plays M, explained they had been filming a scene in which his character gives Bond a "good dressing down".

After Charles left the room, the movie's director Cary Joji Fukunaga turned to Craig and Fiennes, telling them: "Right, back to work. Not distracting at all!"

Bond actor Daniel Craig showed the prince two Aston Martins, a DB5 and a V8, which have been custom-made for the film.

"The cars are the interesting thing here. Much more interesting than me," the star said.

Broccoli said the Royal Family and Bond were "two great British traditions".

"This is our 25th film in the series. It's almost 60 years making Bond films in Britain - a British tradition, two great British traditions."
