Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina Dhowre have said they are "proud" to be featured as the "first African couple" on the cover of British Vogue.
Both Elba and Dhowre posted pictures from the couple's wedding photo shoot for the magazine on their Instagram pages, each highlighting their history-making pictures.
The couple chose to get married in Marrakesh, Morocco, as they both have family from Africa, according to Vogue.
Speaking in an interview with the magazine's editor-in-chief Edward Enniful, who was a guest at their wedding in April, Elba spoke about his love for Dhowre, saying they had been "inseparable" since they first met.
He said that after being married twice before it wasn't something he had wanted again, but the 29-year-old had made him change his views.
"You know, I'm 47 this year, been married and lived a full life before I even met Sabrina," he said. "It wasn't something that I wanted to do, get married again. But…"
However, when Elba met Dhowre in Vancouver in 2017, while he was filming The Mountain Between Us with Kate Winslet, he said it was "love at first sight".
The couple feature on the cover of the magazine's July issue, with Dhowre in a wedding gown.
In the interview, Elba also spoke about attending the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's nuptials last year.
"That was an incredible experience," he said.
"I was curating the music for that night, so it was a bit of pressure, but it was great. A vibe."
Elba proposed to Dhowre at the screening for his film Yardie in February last year.
Dhowre also posted the cover on her Instagram page, saying it "feels like a dream".
