Gold celebrates the greatest soul icons ever this October - how to listen

In October, Gold will be celebrating music of black origin by doffing our caps to the greatest soul icons of all time.

Each Saturday at 12pm in October, we will be playing an hour of the biggest soul stars who have influenced countless others over the decades.

LISTEN TO 'STEVIE WONDER: A LIFE IN MUSIC' HERE

Starting on Saturday, October 3, Gold brought you Diana Ross: A Life in Music, celebrating the Motown icon, from her days with the Supremes to her fantastic solo career.

On October 10, Stevie Wonder: A Life in Music featured an hour of the incredibly talented musician's best songs.

We will then also bring you 60s Soul Superstars and 70s Soul Superstars in the final two Saturdays of the month, playing the greatest soul legends including Gladys Knight, James Brown, the Four Tops, The Drifters, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin and many more.

Saturday 3rd at 12pm-1pm: Diana Ross: A Life in Music

Saturday 10th at 12pm-1pm: Stevie Wonder: A Life in Music

Saturday 17th at 12pm-1pm: 60s Soul Superstars

Saturday 24th at 12pm-1pm: 70s Soul Superstars

You will then be able to listen back to each special for 30 days after broadcast on Global Player.
