Residents and carers at a London care home have recreated some iconic album covers to keep themselves entertained during the lockdown.

Sydmar Lodge Care Home, based in Edgware, was closed to visitors on March 12, so staff have got together with the residents to keep them entertained.

Adele, Elvis Presley and Queen are among those who have seen their albums recreated.

Robert Speker came up with the idea, and said the residents had "absolutely loved" the new artwork.

They have recreated classic record covers by The Clash, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen and Madonna.

When asked what residents at the home thought of his new creations, Speker told BBC Breakfast that they "were really having a good giggle over it".

"The main aim was to show that care homes need not be a sad environment, even during this pandemic," he said.
