(11/04/2011 14:48:09) Flag as inappropriate content Have just arrived back from the April Gold Weekender, ( our 6th time ) and we had a brilliant time as usual. All the Live acts and Tribute bands were very good, we thought Eddison Lighthouse, Marmalade and The Fortunes edged it closely followed by The Real Thing. Gold Presenters Dean Martin, John Osbourne and Tony Dibbin, not forgetting Vauxhalls own Tom Devine did a superb job when they were the DJS to fill the dance floor and create an electric atmosphere. It was also nice to meet up again with the many good friends we have made and also to make many more new ones all of whom we will keep in touch with between the Gold Weekenders. We will be back for the October and Christmas Weekenders. |

(28/10/2010 18:54:01) Flag as inappropriate content Always have a fantastic time and just been to October Gold Weekender - our 6th time at one of these events. Live music always great. Just one thing that could be improved upon though....why oh why do we have to hear the same record repeated, sometimes more than once, in one weekend with such a vast variety of music to choose from? Its so annoying to hear and wish the DJs would check their playlists. Especially annoying when the tune may also have been heard live!!! |
